Breakthough Urban Ministries

Junior High students who participate in Breakthrough’s after school program are current in the process of starting up a vending machine/standing unit snack business.  Students will start selling drinks from a soda machine this summer while also selling drinks and snack at sporting events.  Their future goals are to add another vending machine to their business in the fall in addition to developing contracts with local companies to place machines in.

YMEN

A group of young junior high students had the opportunity to go through the BizWorld curriculum where they were challenged in running mock bracelets companies.  Students actually had the chance to learn from professional jewelry makers where they learned the trade of bracelet making.  At the end of the year students were allowed to sell their bracelets at YMENS benefit banquet.
