Brian Jenkins

 

Brian Jenkins is President and Founder of Entrenuity, a not-for-profit organization that provides entrepreneurship training to urban youth.


Under Brian’s leadership, Entrenuity trained student businesses have generated $125,000 in gross sales since 1999.

For more than 10 years, Brian has led entrepreneurship training workshops for teachers and youth workers nationally and internationally. He is directly responsible for training thousands of urban young people in the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and financial literacy, in addition to teaching the biblical foundation behind creating and managing financial wealth. Brian has also directed on-site program management for schools, youth programs, and community-based organizations.

As the Youth Enterprise Director for the Illinois Institute for Entrepreneurship Education, Brian served as the Project Manager for the Small School of Entrepreneurship at Chicago ’s South Shore High School . Brian and his team implemented a program model that may be the model for schools nationwide - complete with entrepreneurship training, specific skill set training, support services, and curriculum development. Going forward he will be the source for entrepreneurship curriculum development and youth business operations in the Untied States and Brazil.

Brian and his students have been featured in the Chicago Tribune , Chicagoland Television, Gospel Today Magazine, Oak Leaves Newspaper, New Expressions Youth Magazine, Prism Magazine, Chicago Defender , Wheaton College Alumni Magazine , and on CNN's Court TV " You Need to Know ." He is a contributing author to the book, Creating True Wealth: Christian Youth Entrepreneurship.

Brian served as a theology instructor at Moody Bible Institute and as adjunct faculty at both Illinois State University’s College of Business and The Urban Ministry Institute in Wichita, KS where his focus was entrepreneurship education.

He is a graduate of the University of Iowa with dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and Religion; additionally, he earned his Masters of Arts in Theology from Wheaton College Graduate School.

Some of the organizations Brian serves include Kids Club; City Vision; Christian Reformed World Relief Committee; Illinois Institute for Entrepreneurship Education; Chicago Public Schools; ShoreBank; Young Life; Here’s Life Inner City; Compassion International; World Vision; Hope Unlimited in Campinas, Brazil; and the Young Men’s Educational Network.

Tiffany Staley, Program Coordinator

Tiffany Staley serves as Program Coordinator for Entrenuity, an organization that provides entrepreneurship education and youth business development services primarily directed towards Chicago urban youth.  Currently, in this position, she teaches students at Cornerstone Academy where they are presently developing a student based business centered on art work or with an art based focus.

Tiffany previously worked for FBD Consulting Inc., as a Debit Card Coordinator. FBD Consulting is one of Kansas City’s top area management consultant firms located in Overland Park, Kansas . While working at FBD Consulting, she focused primarily on FSA accounts. In this position she serviced such companies as IBM, Samsung East and West, Johnson County Community College , General Motors and many more.

 

While attending college in Manhattan, Kansas, Tiffany also worked in a variety of diverse positions such as a Youth Activities Coordinator and Community Assistant. Tiffany graduated from Kansas State University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Minor in Leadership Studies.
